How we research & update
Honest about our process: facts from official sources, prices from official affiliate APIs recorded over time, and automated checks before publishing.
Last reviewed: October 2026
Where our information comes from
Rules and facts come from primary sources — IRAS for GST on imported goods, the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) and the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) for consumer rights and pricing practices, and the platforms' own help pages for how vouchers and coins work. Each page shows its sources and the date the information was valid.
Where our prices come from
Prices and offers come only from official affiliate APIs (the Shopee Affiliate Programme and Lazada via Involve Asia). We record them over time to build our own series. We do not scrape sellers, and what we show is our tracking — not the seller's internal price history.
How pages are produced
Our content is produced by an automated research-and-writing pipeline and reviewed by automated checks (source presence, figure formatting, internal-link validity, length limits) before publishing. We are telling you this plainly: a human does not hand-review every single page. We do not publish a figure that is not tied to a cited source.
How often we update
Sale guides are refreshed ahead of each event; buying guides are reviewed quarterly; rules-based pages are reviewed when the underlying rule changes. The "Updated" date on each page reflects its last change.
